Mayor Lori Holt Pfeiler offers real leadership, with a decade of experience as Mayor and City
Councilwoman - and twenty years of business success and community involvement.
Pfeiler has been solving problems on the local level for more than a decade. She
was elected to the City Council in 1992 and again in 1996. She was elected Mayor
in 1998 and again in 2002, where she has been widely praised for bringing a new sense
of cooperation and a focus on economic development and quality of life.
Mayor Pfeiler has earned regional respect as an experienced leader on issues like
Transportation and Housing. She was named Chair of San Diego Region Partners for
Home Ownership and the Task Force on High Speed Rail for SANDAG; and currently serves
as 2nd Vice Chair on the SANDAG Board of Directors.
Pfeiler has earned a BA in Accounting and an MBA. She and her husband Tim have
been married for 27 years and have a daughter - Lindsey, 19. Pfeiler and her
family are active members of First Congregational Church in Escondido.
