Yes we are stuck and not happy.

This was around 1990 at the Waters property on the Palmerston North foothills.

The Bully was a D85 Komatsu around 28 ton. Rather sluggish old beast. This was a logging job and winter clearly created a few challenges.

The owner was a guy Nottage from the Hunterville area and we referred to him cheekily as Judder Bars because that’s how his tracks came out.

We owned the Cat D6 B and trundled across from our farm about 4 Km to do the kind deed of pulling out our friend Judder Bars.Yes we were successful eventually and always enjoyed having a change of scenery, a few laughs and challenges that crop up every so often.

All the trees finally got harvested and the Waters (known as money bags) managed to get a new Falcon car and a couple of Suzuki Mudbugs, and also an overseas trip.

To all you reader if you do get stuck, enjoy the mud!
