Attach2 uses Hardox 450 (or similar) steel to manufacture all of their Wide and Tilt Buckets for multiple different reasons.

The Attach2 Bucket wraps, side styles and wear strips are all manufactured from this Hardox 450 with the cutting edge manufactured from BIS 500, an even harder wear resistant grade steel.

There are many reasons we use Hardox 450 but here are some of them.

1) Tough!

450 grade steel is designed to withstand the toughest punishment and abuse, this grade of steel has unique properties which means it can withstand heavy impact and blows with less possibility of deformation or cracking.

2) Lighter

Due to its superior hardness Attach2 does not need to increase the thinkness of the steel to achieve better strength, we can achieve a stronger and more wear resistant bucket while maintaining a thinner profile steel, therefore decreasing the bucket weight and increasing the performance of your machine.

3) Flexible

The 450 grade steel takes the impact force from large and heavy objects and distributes it over the plate, resisting dents and cracking. The metal absorbs the energy and returns to its original shape the same way as when a tennis racket hits a ball.

4) Wear resistant

Hardness is what gives 450 grade steel its unique wear resistance. Hardness minimizes wear since it is difficult for the 'edges' of abrasive material to cut into the material. The Hardox plate delivers the same wear resistance during the plate's entire service, since it remains equally tough throughout.

5) Economical

This steel cuts down on weight and extends the service life of the bucket in comparison with regular steel. A lighter bucket means for more capacity in lifting and loading out as well as a big decrease in fuel consumption from no needing to lift the extra weight. Also, being more wear resistant means for less down time due to rebuilding worn out buckets.

Overall with the many advancements from the Attach2 you can ensure better and more reliable Buckets.

Note: Attach2 uses Hardox 450 when available and other brands with similar properties when not.
